About the Team
Cardlytics has unprecedented access to transaction level data both from financial institutions as well as retailers and their CPG partners through Bridg. This uniquely positions us to derive insights that can help explain shifts in consumer spending behavior across the US, provide unique competitive insights to drive strategic direction, optimize rewards / incentives to achieve desired engagement and help our partners understand the performance of their media spend with us.

The Senior Director, Advertiser Analytics will lead a large client facing team that brings our data to life. This team’s most valuable activities revolve around fostering trust and partnerships built within our clients leveraging Insights extracted from our Purchase Data. Utilizing deep industry knowledge this team also extracts macro insights, delivered as narratives into the overall marketplace, establishing Cardlytics as a thought leader and expanding the awareness of our brand.
 

About the Position

In this role, you will lead a highly technical analytics team that uses sophisticated data and analytics techniques to answer client business questions and execute deliverables through a breadth of datasets and appropriate analytic techniques, storytelling, and data visualization. You will act as a trainer, mentor, and subject matter expert on Advertiser Analytics. You will partner closely with the head of sales to demonstrate value to advertisers, partner with Product to enable self-service / scaled insights, and be a thought leader internally and externally speaking on behalf of CDLX in front of industry leaders.

Cardlytics is seeking a Sr. Director of Advertiser Analytics & Insights to join our team, reporting to the VP of Operations & Analytics.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for building and leading a high-performing analytics team, guiding senior leaders, while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making

  • Be an exceptional influencer and communicator who is seen as the voice of reason and a thought partner by executives (internally and externally) and cross-functional teams

  • Represent the voice of our Customers through compelling storytelling and partner with Product to bring right data/insight products to market

  • Leverage your expertise to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver strategic insights that drive overall business success while establishing Cardlytics’ thought leadership in the broader industry  

  • Work directly with senior marketing and analytics executives within the advertiser organizations to establish deep knowledge of their business goals / challenges and drive incremental revenue growth by delivering tailored actionable insights

  • Guide internal and client teams on using comprehensive data visualization to build meaningful stories that influence decision-making

  • Lead development of advanced analytical capabilities and leverage our data assets to extract new insights that drive overall company differentiation

  • Shape development of new insights based on Data Science methods such as Machine Learning, probabilistic modeling, Natural Language Processing, Price Elasticity modeling, Price Sensitivity modeling, etc

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.

  • Proven leadership experience managing a large analytics team, experience managing through senior leaders (Directors and above)

  • Expertise within multi-channel marketing analytics and measurement with a demonstrable track record of progressive growth in senior managerial positions

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, GoodData, Datorama, etc.

  • Proven ability to design and execute experimental product tests, ranging from AB to Multivariate tests, contributing directly to data-driven decision-making processes

  • Experience communicating complex analytical insights and recommendations to senior executives both internally and externally

  • Demonstrated ability to foster innovation within the analytics function, staying abreast of industry trends and adapting strategies accordingly

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, leading through influence, collaboration, and mutual accountability

  • Demonstrated experience thriving in an organization that is quickly evolving, with an ability to prioritize and remain focused.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) preferred
